Frequently Asked Questions

WHY ARE YOU CALLED SHADOWDOG?

One of the first services we had was to make unique lighting from wood. Casting shadows of animals on the wall using a light source was something many did as children and we thought the name would be a great for a lighting company. We now make nearly everything from wood but we still love the name.

DO YOU PROVIDE TECHNICAL DRAWINGS?

Yes, we generally make drawings for most jobs as this eliminates many errors and helps us correctly plan the project. Once we have your requirements, we will make the CAD drawing and supply it to you where you can make any changes you feel necessary.

IS THERE A GUARANTEE ON YOUR WORK?

Yes, all cabinet fittings we use come with a lifetime guarantee and the cabinets are guaranteed for 5 years and our paintwork is guaranteed for 12 months. One call and we will make an appointment to come and make the repairs. We are very pleased to say that in reality, we hardly ever have to make these visits thanks to the outstanding quality of materials and workmanship.

DO YOU PROVIDE FREE QUOTES?

Yes, we offer a free quotation to our customers. We will arrange a good time to visit where we will take measurements and discuss your project to get a good understanding of your requirements. After, we will calculate your price then contact you via phone or email.

SHOULD WE EXPECT ANY UNSEEN EXTRA CHARGES ONCE WORK HAS STARTED?

No, we will assess the project then provide you a price once agreed this price will be final. However, if you make changes and thus needing more material and time then additional cost may occur.

What are the payment terms?

We generally ask for a 30 percent deposit on agreement of the work to commence and balance on completion of the work. This can either be cash or a BACS payment. Our bank details will be on the invoice.
